Family Kitchen Extension
""I have used Hannah and Kat's services a few times now, but this was by far the biggest project and the first that included architectural and layout changes. We had a rough idea of what we wanted, but I struggle with creative vision so it was fantastic to be able to hand over these ideas and trust Hannah and Kat to work their magic and come back with the most wonderful images, plans and samples. They managed to make the rooms work for us as a family in ways I hadn't even thought of, as well as making it look absolutely beautiful. During the project itself, they were amazing at keeping in touch and liaising with suppliers to make sure we had everything we needed, on time. We look forward to working with Barclay Briggs again in the future, thanks again Hannah and Kat"

Light-Filled Family Kitchen Extension
The client’s brief focused on creating a light, open-plan kitchen that would function effortlessly for everyday family life while also working beautifully for entertaining.
The new extension allowed for a significantly larger kitchen alongside a separate utility room, with a strong emphasis on a well-organised, highly functional layout and generous, carefully considered storage to maintain a calm, uncluttered feel.
The design balances modern and classic elements, using a soft, neutral palette to create a homely and welcoming atmosphere, while carefully planned natural light enhances the sense of space and brightness throughout. In contrast to the calm main living spaces, a downstairs cloakroom was designed as a fun, bolder moment, adding personality and a sense of surprise.
Delivered as a comprehensive end-to-end service, the project began with feasibility plans exploring multiple layout options, followed by full planning and building control drawings and applications, supported by structural engineer calculations.
Concept and detailed mood boards were developed and brought to life through rendered elevations, alongside detailed furniture, lighting and finishes specifications, purchasing schedules, bespoke joinery drawings, full procurement and coordinated on-site delivery, resulting in a light-filled, versatile home that feels both practical and elegant for family living and entertaining alike.
