SURREY HOME

"When we bought the house ten years ago, we knew we wanted to remodel the rear to create a large, open-plan kitchen and dining space — somewhere to relax, entertain, and enjoy views of the garden and beyond.

We did the building work straight away, and the space still suits us perfectly as the children get older. It works just as well for everyday family life as it does for entertaining.

The decor has, and will, continue to purposely evolve over time, with pieces collated from trips abroad and local antique markets. I’m constantly inspired by images, objects, exhibitions, and nature (even on the daily dog walk!). More recently, we repainted the kitchen in a warmer shade and added new curtains and blinds, subtly softening the feel of the space. I love that our home can continue to evolve — adapting to the family’s changing needs while remaining curated, lived-in, and full of things we love."

Hannah

a personal project

At the center of family life, Hannah’s open-plan kitchen balances everyday functionality with considered design. Deep teal cabinetry brings warmth and depth, paired with a bespoke butcher’s block and a simple pendant light. Beyond the kitchen, the living space unfolds as a personal narrative shaped by travels around the world, layered with rich colour and tactile textures. A Moroccan rug, sourced during a long weekend in Marrakesh, adds warmth and narrative to the room.
