WHAT IS INTERIOR DESIGN?

We consider Interior Design as the way people use space in both a practical and creative way.

The arrangement of internal space - considering natural light, circulation and connections between rooms and the outside, whilst considering ergonomics at a human scale.

We place importance on how the space is used; what you see as you enter; where the natural light is coming from; every day actions performed within a room and how storage can be maximised.

Every element of a room is analysed to work cohesively in both look and practicality. We consider any scale of project to be important, large or small. From a re-fresh of an existing room to extending or reconfiguring a building.

LETS GET STARTED

We work with all scales of projects. We are always happy to discuss in more detail and offer a complementary meeting or phone call to understand your brief and create an individual fee proposal for you. Please feel free to contact us.

CONCEPT

We create an Initial Concept Mood Board with 3-4 carefully collated inspiration images. These set the style of the project and are a useful reference point as we develop the concept.

With the style and floor plan decided upon, we develop the initial boards into Detailed Concept Mood Boards. These would include carefully sourced items (either the exact item you can purchase or one very similar). We include existing / pre-purchased items so you can see your concept turning to reality.

We can also create 3D Sketch Visuals to give you an idea of the space, rendered with finishes and colour.

FEASIBILITY

Following your brief and a site survey, we then undertake Feasibility Studies to explore how to maximise the potential of the space.

We typically create 3-4 Proposed Plans to discuss with the client.

DESIGN DEVELOPMENT

Developing the design through a Full Drawing Pack (Plans, Elevations, Joinery Details) and Furniture Finishes & Equipment Schedules (FF&E); a detailed document which lists every item to be specified (with image and full product specification) plus a set of samples where appropriate.

We advise on Lighting, Finishes, Furniture, Ironmongery, Sanitaryware and Accessories.

DELIVERY

We work closely and can liaise with builders, structural engineers, architects and suppliers to ensure your project runs smoothly.

COLOUR CONSULTANCY

We offer on site Colour Consultancy to help you choose colours that will compliment your home.

PLANNING PERMISSION

A full drawing pack as required by the local Planning Authority. Our fee includes submitting the application online and we are happy to act as an agent.

PRODUCT SOURCING

You may know exactly the style you like, yet not have the required time for a dedicated search. We can find items for a range of budgets; view samples on your behalf or arrange for delivery / returns.

We charge a fixed fee for our time but pass on any trade discounts offered.

STYLING

We can work with items you already have and curate to offer maximum impact. We will make suggestions that allow for your homes greatest potential - this may require investment in some re-decoration. Ultimately with the aim of re-kindling love for your home or perhaps styling to sell.
